The Scattering or Diaspora of the Jewish People

The Scattering of the Jewish People.   Historically this event is often referred to as the Diaspora

(meaning the dispersal).  A simple Google search will return many articles regarding this.  History does not lie, but the retelling of historical events is unfortunately under attack.  It is highly likely that as we progress further in the last days (Jesus warned this in Matthew 24:4) that those on the Earth will push to deceive others in an effort to distort everything so as to lead others from the truth.  This is another prophecy in itself which is taking place in the form of political correctness, denial of any absolute, and misleading communication in the media.

Ezekiel's Prophecy--

     The Prediction

In the Old Testament the prophet Ezekiel predicted that the Jewish people would be removed from their homeland of Israel and scattered across the face of the Earth.  This is one of MANY verses in the Bible where God declares the Jewish people would be removed from their homeland centuries beforehand.

Ezekiel 20:23-24, Ezekiel writes:  Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them among the lands, because they had not observed My ordinances, but had rejected My statutes and had profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were on the idols of their fathers.

     The Prediction Happened

In 70 AD, the celebrated historian Josephus records that the Romans invaded Israel and over 1 million Jewish people were killed.  The remaining Jews were driven out. scattered, and taken to Rome where many were forced to build the Roman Coliseum among other atrocities.  Israel became in essence, a no man's land void collectively of Jewish occupants.

Why did this prophecy happen?  Simply stated, God allowed it to.  Over and over in the Old Testament you will see a pattern where the Jewish people disobey and forget God's laws/statutes which results in them being delivered in the hands of their enemies.  The scattering of the Jewish people is a repeated prophecy in the Bible and can be verified historically.
